WHERE WE WERE…

In June 2001, Bishop Frank Williams, Jr., was appointed pastor and began preparations to establish the ministry God placed in his heart. Through prayer and obedience to the voice of the Lord, he was led to Lynchburg, Virginia, to found the church, “New Birth.”

On Sunday, August 5, 2001, the Ramada Inn was the site for the first service. Two weeks later, God enabled the ministry to move to the Fort Early building on Fort Avenue for Sunday morning services and Thursday night Bible study. The church was blessed to be in a beautiful building and began to decree and declare greater things on behalf of the ministry. The words  of Presiding Prelate Olive C. Brown rang in the ears of the pastor; "When in lack, give; and when in a lull, build."

The Bishop and copastor were reminded that God would send an abundance of whatever New Birth needed for ministry. The faith of the new church was strengthened.

By faith, committed to one year at the Fort Early building, the pastors believed God for a new place by the end of June 2002. In July 2002, the New Birth ICM family moved to the current location on Timberlake Road.

For with God, nothing is ever impossible, and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment. Luke 1:37Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

WHERE WE ARE

By the power of God, there has been an increase in souls and committed workers to God and ministry.  God has blessed NBICM to sponsor marriage seminars, financial seminars, vacation bible school, and recreational activities for the children, and assisted with supplying students with school materials and so much more. In 2005, New Birth launched the Family, Youth, and Community Wholeness Center (501 (c)(3) non-profit organization) and  has assisted students from Liberty University with community service hours.
